Session 10 - Cross-country Planning
Awesome explanation. Thank you!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! G and E airspace much simplified!
So, when do you use - MSL and when do you use - AGL?? What's the logic behind that? Thanks for the good info...
Can someone tell me what is difference between circle to land and circling app?
Well that was a lightbulb moment! Thanks I get it now
Best explanation I have had so far. Thank you for taking the time to make this video!
When I first watched this video I thought there were some mistakes or you had misspoken. But after watching it a few more times I realized you were correct and I was wrong. I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks.
Thank you! We're all still learning everyday!
Love your videos. I did my private few years ago and your course was extremely helpful. Thank you
Thank you so much! Hope you may come back for the Instrument!
I did my instrument but will still buy your course to support you and go over the videos to stay proficient. You did not have full IFR course at that time. Do you have it now?
Thank you very much! Yes it is 99% complete and you can purchase now. Just finishing last session. Also offering right now for $99 a great value! Enjoy!
This was very clear and easy to understand. Thank you for posting. One thing I'd like to know is how to recognize on the sectional chart where G does not move up into E but continues on up to 10,000 ft. You alluded to this when you mentioned that we often find this type of airspace in the mountains. How is this depicted on the sectional charts?
Thanks for the info passed my 107 today 87%
Thanks very simple loved it.
Well explained!! Loved it❤
Excellent
Great explanation. Thanks a lot Sir
You are a genius.
I had my sectional open for study, and found this video to help me along. Lo and behold at 5:13 the segment of the sectional you showed was almost precisely the same image as the folded sectional in front of me! Most intuitive instructional video ever 😁👍
If you are at 10,500 MSL over Leadville Airport (KLXV) in Colorado, what airspace are you in? What are the rules?
Excercise: Look at any Sectional Chart. Throw a dart at it. then....1.) Ask yourself what airspace am I in at a said altitude. then... 2.) Ask yourself what are the rules and services for that Class of airspace that I am in... Eg. 1.) If I am 500' AGL 1 mile east of GREENVILLE airport. I am in Class G airspace. 2) I have to abide by the rules in Class G airspace. 1.) If I am 1 mile east of GREENVILLE airport, but at 700' AGL, I am in Class E airspace. 2.) I have to abide by the rules for Class E airspace. Thats how I think of it. Hope this helps. Thoughts? To get good at this... run this exercise for an entire route that you want to fly. Always know what airspace you will be in, and then what are the rules you must abide by as you fly thru that airspace. I also ask if it agrees with my personal minimums including both myself and the airplane I am flying. Even tho it may be legal, it might be outside of my personal minimums.
Seems to me only extreme tail winds or extreme crosswinds would dictate a circling approach. Am I right?
You are really amazing, your video pretty helpful
Clear for me now.... too many "way too complicated" videos out there..... this one makes it (E and G) easy to understand !!!
Fantastic explanation!! Makes it crystal clear! Searched far and wide, probably watched every UA-cam video on this topic. This is the best!! Thank you so very much!
So glad it was helpful!
I was looking in internet about this, i needed badly! Very nice video, can you do a video, of how yo do the missed approach in a circling to land?
Buenísimo
This was super helpful for me for my flight simulator, thank you.
Thanks for posting
Thanks for putting this video out! It finally "clicked" for me! Making the correlation of weather criteria between E and G made it all make sense.
Does snow really always mean temps are above freezing at your altitude? Really? Great video otherwise.
ạ ghê :>>
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks!
I started watching your videos and I am really glad about de concise explanations about the several matters of flight.I am not a pilot ( Unfortunately) but I am a great aviation enthusiast who really wants to learn as much as I can about everything related to aviation.
Glad you like them Luis! There are plenty videos. You can also find them all in one spot on our website too: www.groundschoolusa.com/online-ground-school/free-online-ground-school/

Is there a video regarding A and B and C airspace? Can someone give a link plz
Glad you asked, sorry for the late reply. The full lesson is available for purchase here: www.groundschoolusa.com/airspace-for-pilots/
One of the hardest things for me to hear is "this is when not being colorblind is helpful" lol
I advise to listen at 2x speed. This speaker sounds like he is using tranquilizers.
Thank you.
good information!
it's important to know that as a student thank you
You're so welcome!
@@groundschoolusa8467 thanks to you and the whole team in the airspace administration in usa
You're so welcome!
Thank you for this video, I could not figure out (and kept missing the correct answer) on Figure 26, area 1, Tomlinson (8J7) Airport airspace. Because it has no shading, I was always seeing it in G Airspace and never E Airspace. I won't be missing that question anymore ! Thank you very much !
So glad to help!
When I started flying, There were more cloud types than their were genders.....
Sir, then Air space is section for the limited Aircraft, like helicopters to Commercial and lnternational Air Root impeariccally.
This guy is just the best instructor ever.
Thank you, and please find more content at groundschoolusa.com.
Thank you, very helpful!
the only thing missing from this video is 1980s music
I hardly comment on videos but wow, thank you so much! So many pictures, websites, and videos I've seen but this one truly made me understand!
Very convenient of UA-cam recommending this to me after the European airspace restricted Russian flights
Excellent content & delivery, Thank You
